Got to Be NC Festival returns May 20-22

The Got to Be NC Festival, presented by Lowes Foods, runs May 20-22 at the N.C. State Fairgrounds. Gate admission and parking are free.

This year's event promises to be one of the best yet, especially for the Homegrown Fare, a food, wine and beer expo featuring dozens of local companies. Visitors can sample their way through the Homegrown Fare, try new products and even puchase products to take home. The Homegrown Fare does have a separate admission fee, but at $3 it's a bargain.

The Got to Be NC Festival is a celebration of the best of North Carolina agriculture, food and fun. In addition to the Homegrown Fare, you'll find barnyard animals, a rabbit and cavy show, bluegrass competition, tractor pull, BMX bikes, racing pigs and one of the largest antique tractor displays in the Southeast. The event also includes a family-friendly carnival and fireworks.
